HALCYON DAYS has collaborated with the National Trust to proudly present a range of products depicting Sir Winston Churchill's love of painting. Created in 1932, 'Bottlescape', provides proof for Churchill's famous quote "I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me". The exquisite piece beautifully captures Churchill’s artistic talent, showcasing the intricate details and rich colors of his renowned still life. The depiction of bottles and reflections are brought to life through the depth and vibrancy of the artwork.
Lifting the lid of the box reveals another of Churchill's most memorable lines; "I could not live without champagne; in victory I deserve it, in defeat I need it".
Suited to the dark, sumptuous colours of the painting, this prestige box is decorated with a black base, lined with burgundy leather and mounted on gold. As ever, this piece was designed and made in England, by our in-house artisans, with all enamel work being crafted according to the centuries-old techniques which HALCYON DAYS have nurtured over throughout our history.
Ideal for safeguarding small treasures, this enamel box is not only a functional keepsake but also a celebration of Churchill's legacy as an artist. A perfect addition to any collection, it embodies timeless elegance and the enduring charm of Churchill’s creative spirit.
